Welcome to AFSA's Webpage for Foreign Affairs retirees

farrand Welcome to the part of the AFSA website devoted to retirees and their most pressing issues. I am honored to serve as the Vice President for the retiree constituency during the 2009-2011 term. I intend to represent your concerns both before the AFSA governing board as well as those in Congress who have oversight over federal retiree affairs.

Please feel free to e-mail me at any time if you have questions, comments or concerns that you would like us to address. In addition to myself and the indefatigable Bonnie Brown, you may reach out to your four additional elected representatives on the AFSA governing board - Janice Bay, Bill Farrand, and Molly Williamson.

There are many issues to address regarding retirees, and we will keep you well apprised of any updates. We will also look to increase the membership among AFSA retirees; not enough of them are members yet all benefit from our advocacy. AFSA provides a necessary service for those who have retired, and we need your strength and voices behind us as we work on your behalf.

Best regards,

Bob Houdek
Retiree Vice President
