Walker served as executive director of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy from 2019 to 2024. She now bridges the worlds of practice and scholarship as co-president of the Public Diplomacy Council of America, practitioner in residence at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, and faculty fellow at the USC Center on Public Diplomacy. She also co-edits the Palgrave Macmillan Series in Global Public Diplomacy, contributes to academic journals and conferences worldwide, and mentors the next generation of public diplomacy professionals.
