The country’s second-largest city, Pokhara is located 200 miles west of Kathmandu in the shadow of the magnificent Annapurna Range that contains three of the 10 highest mountains in the world. This photo was taken on March 12, 2015. In less than two months, the country would be rocked by an earthquake that claimed more than 8,000 lives. n John F.
