T his image is of the Long Room in the Trinity College Library in Dublin. The largest library in Ireland, it is truly impressive. The library was built between 1712 and 1732; and, at nearly 65 metres in length, it is filled with 200,000 of the library’s oldest books, including the famous Book of Kells. n Matthew L. Horner is currently the sole consular officer at U.S. Embassy Reykjavík. He has also served in Cambodia, Mexico and Barbados. He took this photo recently, while on a long weekend in Dublin, with his handheld Canon 6D, using an EF 17-40mm wideangle lens.
