maintained its independence but refused to be a vehicle for biased and inaccurate reporting. Those working at AFSA today might do well to remember those like Shirley Newhall who, at great per- sonal and professional sacrifice, have made AFSA and the Foreign Service Journal something of which we can all be proud.
