Kushner has joined the AFSA Governing Board as a State Department representative, replacing Pamela Bates. Kushner is currently serving as director for counterterrorism finance designations in the Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism. He is an economic offi- cer, and has served in The Hague, Kuala Lumpur, Belgrade, Lagos and Washington.
