AFSA NEWS AFSAGoverning Board Meeting, February 21, 2018 Management Committee: It was moved and seconded that the Governing Board grant COO Russ Capps and Vice President Ken Kero-Mentz signing authority for AFSA. The motion was adopted. Awards and Plaques Committee: The committee provided the board with their recommendation for the recipient of the 2018 Lifetime Contributions to Ameri- can Diplomacy award. The committee’s recommenda- tion was accepted, and the selected recipient will be announced in a future issue of The Foreign Service Journal. New Business: It was moved that following the retire- ment of AFSA USAID Vice President Ann Posner, the Governing Board appoint Jeff Levine to complete her unfinished term. Articles should be approximately 700 words on any topic of interest to Foreign Service fam- ily members.
