The temperature was right at the freezing mark so it was partly covered by a thin skin of ice. I was led to this spot by Sung Choi, our new American consul in Nuuk. The consulate opened in June and is tied to U.S. Embassy Copenhagen. The United States previously had a consulate in Nuuk from 1940 to 1953. n BY JAMES P.
