This talk will offer a completely different approach towards the multi-layered Kashmir issue that has eluded solution for 70 years. With fresh insights from political, historical, legal and international perspective, and based on materials unearthed over 20 years of research, the discussion aims to deconstruct and depoliticize the Kashmir problem so as to alter the current political discourse so necessary for piecing together a just and realistic solution. Dr. Aman Hingorani is a practicing lawyer and mediator in the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi. He has also acted as an arbitrator and as adjunct faculty teaching law students, as well as coordinated training courses for young law teachers, lawyers and judicial officers.
