Rally for USAID

Start Date/Time:
Friday, February 27, 2026 - 12:00
End Date/Time:
Friday, February 27, 2026 - 13:00
Description:

February marks one year since the dismantling of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the dismissal of its workforce. Throughout the month, we are honoring USAID, the 16,000 development professionals in USAID’s workforce, and the hundreds of thousands of others in the foreign assistance sector whose careers were abruptly cut short when the agency was effectively shut down.

On Feb. 27, this month-long commemoration culminates in a Rally for USAID. Join us as we remember the institution, stand with our colleagues and friends, and reaffirm our commitment to service.

Event Details

Feb. 27 at 12 noon at the 14th Street steps of the Ronald Reagan Building, USAID’s former HQ.

Why We’re Gathering

For more than six decades, USAID advanced American interests by stabilizing regions, strengthening partnerships, and saving lives. One year later, we gather to honor those who served and to affirm that service endures.
