AFSA will mark and honor the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks with a moderated panel discussion focusing on how U.S. diplomacy and development changed in the immediate aftermath of the attacks and in the decade since then. This special event will take place on Friday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. at AFSA headquarters, 2101 E Street NW. Ambassador Barbara Bodine will moderate the panel, which will include former USAID Administrator Andrew Natsios and former Director General of the Foreign Service and Ambassador to Turkey W. Robert Pearson. We encourage all AFSA members, the foreign affairs community at large, and interested parties to mark their calendars now. Please RSVP quickly to events@afsa.org, as this event will fill up quickly and we have limited capacity. For those who cannot attend in person, we plan to have a Web broadcast.
