On Thursday September 9 at 1:00 pm EDT, AFSA President Ambassador Eric Rubin will host a webinar with retired AFSA members. The webinar, which will be conducted via Zoom, is designed for our retirees to hear directly from Ambassador Rubin on AFSA’s key areas of focus: expanding and reinvigorating the Foreign Service, with the help of supporters in Congress, restoring morale and improving retention, and returning the Foreign Service to the key role it must once again play in America's national security and foreign policy. Ambassador Rubin will also address events in Afghanistan and the Foreign Service’s role in them.

During the webinar, Ambassador Rubin will outline how AFSA is engaging with leadership at the various Foreign Service agencies and with Congress to advance our priorities, including AFSA’s push to address the slow pace of confirmations and nominations of Ambassadors and senior roles in the foreign affairs agencies.
