On Thursday March 9 at 1:00 p.m. EST, AFSA President Eric Rubin will host a webinar with retired AFSA members to discuss AFSA’s current advocacy work on Capitol Hill and with leadership at the various Foreign Service agencies.

During the webinar, Ambassador Rubin will discuss the status of AFSA’s priority issues, including legislative wins in the 117^th Congressional session and Foreign Service reform and modernization. He will outline the status of confirmations and nominations of Ambassadors and senior officials, what was included in the final FY 23 appropriations package, and the new State Department guidelines on worldwide availability among other topics. Finally, there will be time to briefly share information on AFSA’s outreach work and upcoming programs and events.
